Man wanted in Jacksonville teen’s killing turns himself in, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Officials with the Jacksonville Police Department said that a man wanted in the killing of a teen last month has turned himself in.

The arrest comes after a shooting happened Friday June 26 in the 300 block of Spruce Street that left a 17-year-old dead.

In a release on Sunday night, police said that Martesse Jones turned himself in on a warrant issued for capital murder and is being charged as an adult.
