Summer has finally arrived. Temperatures are rising in the Treasure Valley, and for those without adequate air conditioning, staying cool over the next couple of months can be quite a challenge.
Here are some tricks to stay cool on a budget in Idaho
If you have ceiling fans, use them, but make sure they are pulling the hot air up into the fan and not forcing hot air down into the room. Also, if you are using a fox fan, make sure it is blowing the air out of the room and not drawing hot air from outside into the room.

Keep curtains and shades closed during the day when you are away or at work. This keeps the sun from warming up a room throughout the day.
