Family honors man fatally shot in Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood

SEATTLE — When family and friends gathered Sunday to celebrate the life of Dominique Timmons-Sampson, they did not spend the afternoon talking about how he died. Instead, they remembered how he lived.

“He was a good guy,” his brother, Ronnie Sampson, said. “Just looking out… would do anything for any of his friends.”

Nine days after the 34-year-old was shot and killed in Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood, loved ones filled the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club. They share stories, laughter and photographs, remembering the youngest of three brothers as someone who always had a camera nearby and a joke ready…
