KHP: Repeat fleeing motorcyclist caught driving 117 mph in Sedgwick County

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Highway Patrol is highlighting the importance of roadway safety after troopers said a motorcyclist fled from law enforcement and was later caught driving 117 mph.

KHP said on Tuesday that on June 15, a trooper in Sedgwick County attempted to stop a motorcycle that was traveling 87 mph in a 60 mph zone, but the rider drove off.

Weeks later, on July 8, the same trooper spotted the same motorcyclist traveling at 117 mph in a 60 mph zone.
