This is probably the best dog for Boise

It’s safe to say I’m a dog guy. A dog lover. Can we even say dog owner anymore? Well, I am, that, a dog guy.

Boise Is Definitely A Dog Friendly City

That being said, I have had many dogs in my life over the years. The first dog I remember was a little brown mutt we named Windy.

She was a good dog; I remember her always scratching. My mom said she had a “hot spot” on her backside, and she put ointment on it every day that smelled awful. I also had a Cocker Spaniel named Elmo.

He was amazing, until my brother let him out of the backyard one day and he tried and failed to cross the nearby freeway.

Later in life, I would come to have a German Shepherd named Max that lived 13 years until the eventual heartbreak that comes with loving a dog.

That would be repeated with another German Shepherd who lived to be 13, Duke.

I heard this once somewhere: “What’s the hardest thing about owning a dog?” The answer, “Saying good-bye.”

After losing each dog, I vowed I would never have another one. My willpower is obviously weak when it comes to dogs.
