Quincy Aldi still closed over a month after mudslide, city requests federal funding to fix damage

QUINCY Fla. (WCTV) – Over a month after a mudslide damaged the Aldi shopping plaza in Quincy, the store is still closed, according to the city commission.

The mudslide, caused by heavy rainfall in May, significantly damaged the slope at the rear of the property. City of Quincy Utilities Department was forced to cut off and cap the main water line that serves Aldi.

Since then, Aldi has remained closed…
