GBI investigating after McDuffie County sheriff’s substation burglarized, burned

DEARING, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and state fire marshal’s office are investigating after someone broke into a McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office substation in Dearing, stole items, and set the building on fire.

Smoke was seen coming from the building around 5 a.m. Wednesday, according to Pat Morgan, Special Agent in Charge of the GBI’s Thomson field office.
