A YOUNG homeowner says her HOA is trying to force her out of the house her late father left her, while asking neighbors to pay about $1,000 each to help fund the legal battle.
The 28-year-old inherited the property after her dad’s death but now faces being booted from the place she calls home because she does not meet the community’s age rules.
Bethany Michel lives in Arbor Mil, a 55-plus community in the Oakleaf area of Jacksonville, Florida, where occupied homes are required to have at least one resident aged 55 or older.
