CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – In June, the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit apprehended 74 individuals during operations to combat violent crime and drug trafficking.
The unit seized 19 firearms, over 1,700 grams of various narcotics, including fentanyl and cocaine, and approximately $59,000. These collaborative efforts between local and federal partners aimed to remove illegal weapons and substances from the streets.
Four plead guilty in $5 million “grandparent scam” targeting hundreds of elderly victims
Potentially deadly narcotics seized include the following:
- Nearly 1,070 grams of suspected fentanyl/heroin
- 525 grams of cocaine/crack
- Nearly 120 grams of methamphetamine.
