NORRISTOWN — An Upper Hanover Township man who previously served a stint behind bars on gun and burglary charges was sent back to prison for illegally possessing a firearm during a traffic stop in Montgomery Township.
Westley Nolan Harpel, 39, of the 2200 block of Warner School Road, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 6 to 15 years in a state correctional institution on charges of person not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, altering the serial number on a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance in connection with a June 2025 incident.
