FBI, ISP visit home of missing Boonville woman

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — New developments in one of the Tri-State’s high profile missing person cases.

Investigators recently returned to the home in Boonville where Donna Hatfield was last seen alive. She disappeared in the summer of 2019. She suffered from Alzheimer’s and was living with her son Thomas Rainey.

Son of missing Boonville woman files suit against officers

Boonville police confirm the FBI and Indiana State Police recently visited the home on north First Street. Authorities have not said what prompted the visit, but they do confirm her son remains a person of interest.

Rainey has since moved from the house and has an active federal lawsuit against the city, claiming officers wrongfully arrested him in 2023. He says the arrest was an attempt to pressure him into revealing what happened to his mother…
