While the future of skill games in Pennsylvania is still being determined, Palmyra officials have taken steps to ban amusement arcades from the borough’s central business district.
The Palmyra Borough Council unanimously passed an amendment to the zoning ordnances the revises the definition of “amusement arcade.” The new definition is “a commercial establishment which provides as a principal use amusement devices and/or games of skill or chance (e.g., pinball machines, video games, skeet ball, electronic or water firing ranges, skill games, and other similar devices).”
The previous ordinance allowed amusement arcades, including those with skill games, in the central business district zone if it met certain conditions. But officials said the new amendment would remove those conditions…
