Highland Park Village Snags Johanna Ortiz’s First Texas Pop-Up

Colombian luxury label Johanna Ortiz is officially touching down in Texas, and she is doing it in one of Dallas’s priciest zip codes. The brand is launching a yearlong pop-up inside MARKET at Highland Park Village, opening Friday, bringing ruffled silhouettes, bold prints and meticulous tailoring straight from the atelier to local racks.

Many of those dresses and separates are firmly in investment territory, with prices topping $1,000, according to the Dallas Business Journal. The outlet reports the pop-up will run for a full year as part of MARKET’s strategy to help luxury labels test-drive the Texas market before deciding on a standalone boutique. Expect a tight edit of ready-to-wear, seasonal drops, and a few archival favorites.

Handmade Heritage On The Racks

Ortiz runs a vertically integrated atelier in Cali, Colombia, where the label emphasizes in-house craftsmanship and hand-finished details, according to Johanna Ortiz. The result is the kind of statement-making resort wear and evening pieces that tend to photograph very well, whether on vacation or at a Highland Park party.

The current assortment at MARKET backs up the luxe positioning. Market’s listing for the residency features dresses, coats, and accessories with price tags that firmly plant the line in high-end territory…
