PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) -Paragould has added 400 new residents in the past year, landing it a spot among the top 10 fastest-growing cities in Arkansas, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The city now has an estimated population of 31,000.
Kim Baldridge, assistant director of the Paragould Community Center and Parks, said the growth could bring new homes and businesses — and more opportunities for young residents.
“It’s great for the community because with growth comes more opportunities. Kids are going to be able to stay in town. They’re not going to have to leave after they graduate. It’s going to open up more opportunities to have more parks and more activities,” Baldridge said…
