The mother of a man killed in a 2024 hit-and-run on Verot School Road is speaking publicly for the first time, saying she wants justice as the investigation continues.
Leona Malveaux of Lake Charles told KLFY that she remains frustrated by the lack of answers in the death of her son, Daniel Christopher Ben, who was 39 when he died from injuries suffered in the crash.
“Ain’t nobody even come up and say, ‘Look, we’re sorry,’” Malveaux told the news station. “OK, OK, but this doesn’t bring my baby back.”…
