HONOLULU (KHON2) — After years of requests from island shoppers, IKEA is now offering shipping to select Hawaiʻi ZIP codes, giving residents another way to purchase the retailer’s popular furniture and home goods without relying on third-party freight forwarding services.
According to IKEA’s shipping and delivery information, Hawaiʻi customers can now place qualifying orders online, though the service comes with a few restrictions and higher shipping costs than those on the mainland.
What Hawaiʻi shoppers should know
For smaller items such as home decor, textiles and accessories, shipping to select Hawaiʻi ZIP codes starts at $80.
To qualify, orders must:
- Meet a minimum merchandise subtotal of $35
- Weigh 50 pounds or less
- Be shipped to an eligible Hawaiʻi ZIP code
- Not be sent to P.O. Boxes or APO addresses
Customers should also note that IKEA said shipping availability and pricing may vary depending on the delivery address and items in the shopping cart.
