OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Storms in southern Oklahoma prompted a wave of tornado warnings Saturday, along with severe thunderstorm warnings and a broad tornado watch.
The risk was not over by nightfall. Forecasters said the threat would continue into Sunday.
The Warnings
Warnings were issued for counties including Johnston, Garvin, Murray, Pontotoc, Seminole, Coal and Carter as storms moved through the state.
Some warnings expired as new ones were issued farther east, keeping much of the area under active weather alerts for hours.
