LVMPD and 7-Eleven Launch ‘Operation Chill’ to Reward Youth With Free Slurpees

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is joining forces with 7-Eleven to bring “Operation Chill” to the valley, with an official kickoff planned for today at 11 a.m. at LVMPD headquarters.

As part of the initiative, 7-Eleven is donating 26,000 free Slurpee coupons to the department. Officers will hand out the coupons to young people they catch in the act of doing something positive, whether that’s picking up litter, wearing a bike helmet, or lending a hand to a neighbor. Each coupon can be exchanged for a small Slurpee at participating 7-Eleven stores, giving officers a simple, tangible way to recognize good behavior on the spot.
