A Brooklyn grandmother says the emotional trauma of watching her beloved dog being mauled to death by two unleashed pit bulls was so overwhelming that she spent four days hospitalized in a cardiac unit after the attack.
For Regina Nicholson, the devastating loss of Bella—a loyal companion for 11 years—has become far more than the death of a pet. She says it is a painful memory she relives every day and one she believes could have been prevented.
