SHERMAN, Texas — A North Texas man has been arrested and faces federal charges for alleged child exploitation violations, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Texas.
Officials say 44-year-old Sanjay Sachithanandham of Allen was named in a three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury that charged him with coercion and enticement of a minor, transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, conspiracy and engaging in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places.
Federal officials say that, between May 26 and July 19, 2025, Sachithanandham allegedly communicated with a minor using social media to coerce them to engage in sexual activity.
