LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Several power districts are bracing for hot temperatures in Nebraska this weekend, and have released statements about their preparations for it.
Lincoln Electric System said they will closely monitors electric demand and grid conditions, especially during periods of extreme weather. At this time, LES has not received any orders from the regional grid operator to request that customers conserve energy.
“While rising temperatures can drive higher electricity use, LES remains focused on maintaining reliable service and will continue monitoring conditions throughout the weekend,” LES said. “LES always encourages customers to use energy efficiently, especially during hot weather when increased cooling needs can have a noticeable impact on monthly electricity bills.”…
