A stray storm this afternoon, increasing weekend heat

High pressure continues to dominate the Kansas sky, keeping us warm and mainly dry over the coming days.

However, there may be a few exceptions to the rule as a stray storm or two may be able to bubble up in the afternoon.

Otherwise, warm and dry for most with highs close to average for this time of the year.

Heat increases over the weekend, with triple digits possible ahead of a cold front next Tuesday. This front may hold the key for a better chance of storms.
