Takoma Park Police have arrested a 21-year-old woman on charges related to the possession of suspected crack cocaine following an incident on New Hampshire Avenue.
According to Police Chief Antonio DeVaul, officers were patrolling the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue at approximately 5:51pm on July 15 when they observed a person behaving suspiciously. As officers approached, the individual, identified as Rebecca Lopez, allegedly attempted to flee and actively resisted arrest.
Police said officers recovered suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected crack cocaine during the arrest. Lopez, who police say has no fixed address, was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged accordingly…
