Temporary cameras set at four downtown Eugene intersections for traffic study until July 1

EUGENE, Ore. — The City of Eugene is exploring improvements in downtown Eugene along Oak and Pearl streets.

The Oak and Pearl Streetscaping Project aims to redesign sidewalks and planter strips to improve the pedestrian experience along Oak and Pearl between 6th and 7th Avenues.

As part of the project, the city says it was determined that collecting traffic count data at these four intersections (where Oak and Pearl Streets meet 6th and 7th Avenues) is important to help inform future design options…
