Non-aggressive shark spotted at Kewalos

HONOLULU (Island News) — Lifeguards posted warning signs at Kewalo Basin after a non-aggressive shark was seen in the waters on Friday afternoon.

The shark sighting was confirmed by Honolulu Ocean Safety lifeguards prompting an alert about an 8 to 10-foot shark at 1:53 p.m. on Friday, July 17. The non-aggressive shark was spotted 150 yards from the Kewalos shore; last seen swimming in the Diamond Head direction.
