AC/DC at Camp Randall: Officials prepare for heat, air quality concerns ahead of Sunday

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – More than 40,000 people are expected at Camp Randall Stadium on Sunday for the AC/DC concert, and officials say they are taking extra steps to prepare amid a heatwave and poor air quality levels affecting the state.

As of Friday, the concert is still on.

“We’ve been actually been working all week here,” Shane Burgess, UW Athletics Assistant AD for Event Operations said. “So we have some cooling stations for all of the staff that’s been working. Like everyone, we’re actively watching the weather and kind of tracking the smoke. But the show is scheduled to happen and we’re looking forward to it.“…
