Tulsa mother says apartment condition forced her to break lease early
TULSA, Okla. – A Tulsa mother says more than seven weeks without working air conditioning and other habitability issues forced her to move out of her apartment months before her lease ended. Now, she is disputing thousands of dollars in fees she says she should not have to pay.
A Hot Apartment With No Relief
Megan Whisler, a single mother of three, moved into Barcelona Apartments near 51st Street and Yale Avenue in April. She told News On 6 the apartment was not in the condition she expected, but says the biggest issue began in mid-May when the air conditioning stopped working.
