For five decades, Foothills Animal Shelter has proudly stood as Jefferson County’s only full-service animal shelter, serving thousands of pets and people every year. On Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the community is invited to the annual Shelter Showcase. This year, it celebrates the 50th anniversary with a Birthday Bash, so you can expect extra fun. The FREE family-friendly open house features shelter tours, interactive educational stations, FREE lunch on the patio and sweet treats.
