Collison causes car to jump curb and fatally strike man, 67, in Brooklyn: police

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 67-year-old man died after being struck by a car while walking on a Brooklyn sidewalk Saturday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

Officers received a 911 call around 3:06 p.m. near Franklin Avenue and St. Marks Avenue reporting a pedestrian strike and a motor vehicle accident, police said.

A Hyundai driven by a 32-year-old man was traveling southbound on Franklin Avenue when it collided with a Toyota driven by a 48-year-old man. The collision caused the Hyundai to jump the curb, authorities said.
