As several Colorado lakes face closures due to low water levels, Larimer County Natural Resources is reminding community members and visitors that its reservoirs remain open, active and ready to welcome outdoor enthusiasts.
Because of nearby closures and limited parking availability, Larimer County reservoirs are hitting capacity earlier and more frequently. To ensure everyone has a fun, safe and seamless day on the water, park officials are asking visitors to prepare before heading out.
“We are happy our water levels remain at optimal levels for recreation this summer,” says Chris Fleming, visitor services division manager. “While the crowds are shifting our way, a fantastic lake day is entirely possible with a bit of strategic planning. We’re asking our community to shift their habits slightly so everyone can enjoy the water safely.”…
