A man is in critical condition after a woman slashed his neck during a fight near the Magnificent Mile and Oak Street Beach on Saturday night, according to Chicago police.
The man, believed to be in his early to mid-40s, was involved in a physical altercation with a woman near Michigan Avenue and East Lake Shore Drive around 9:35 p.m., according to police. During the fight, the woman pulled out a sharp object and cut the man across the throat area, leaving him with a deep laceration, according to an officer who responded to the scene. The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
