The Medina County Fair will take place Aug. 3-9, but some children and their parents had the opportunity to experience a miniature version of the fair on the afternoon of July 12. Fair Friends is an annual event at the Medina County Fairgrounds intended to provide children with developmental disabilities with some of the amenities of the annual summertime staple.
Junior Fair Board President Berkeley Craddock said this is the sixth year the Fair Friends event has been offered to children and families.
“We enjoy the fair during fair week, and we know it can be hectic, so we wanted to find a place where people who can’t enjoy the fair the same way that we do can still have the same experiences,” she said. “We wanted to give that sort of experience to other people in a setting that was more fitting for them.”…
