TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A 20-year-old Bradenton man spent the night cooling off in jail after attempting to flee from state troopers on a motorcycle that burst into flames, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Just after midnight on July 19, Jason Ortiz was involved in a crash with another motorcyclist on Interstate 75.

The trooper who responded to the scene spoke with the first motorcyclist and witnesses to the crash, but when he began approaching Ortiz, he turned his motorcycle back on.
