BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A short pursuit ended with a pickup truck crashing into a Boise home Sunday morning after an Ada County Sheriff’s Office deputy tried to stop a driver reported to have been passed out at the wheel.
On July 19, 2026, at about 7:37 a.m., a deputy patrolling near South Cloverdale Road and West Amity Road saw two trucks at the intersection. As one truck drove away eastbound on West Amity Road, the deputy was flagged down by the other driver, who said the driver of the other truck — a red Dodge 1500 — had been passed out at the wheel.
