INDIANAPOLIS — A busy intersection along the Monon Trail just had a big safety upgrade, and it’s already having a powerful impact.
This comes after many pedestrians felt unsafe crossing 16th Street while using the popular trail.
“When we moved in five years ago, it was chaos,” said Tonya Stanfield, who lives nearby. “We were like, what’s going on? [There was] constant screeching of tires, road rage, screaming, near misses, actual people being hit, and ambulances, and sirens… It [was] very dangerous.”…
