Olive Branch Benefit Concert with Marable Twins Turns into a Moment of Crisis!

MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) – If you’ve lived in Rutherford County for any length of time, you already know the Marable Twins. Their music, their ministry, and their unmistakable bond have been part of this community’s heartbeat for decades. But this past Friday evening (7/17/2026), during a benefit concert for Curtis Coleman at Olive Branch Church on Minerva Dr., that familiar harmony was interrupted by a frightening medical emergency.

Jerry Marable told WGNS that just before taking the stage, his twin brother, Kerry, received a loud alert from his Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring system. The device, which tracks blood sugar levels around the clock, signaled that Kerry’s glucose had spiked to 269. Even so, with the heart of a showman who believes “the show must go on,” Kerry stepped up as lead singer.

Jerry said it didn’t take long to see something was wrong. Kerry grew fatigued, pressing forward until he suddenly became unresponsive and collapsed onto a speaker. His wife, Erika, rushed toward the stage calling his name. When he didn’t respond, she shouted, “Please call 911 now!” A nurse in the audience, several men, and their daughter Kaliah—also a nurse—moved quickly to help while everyone waited for EMS…
