Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa townhall in Texas Panhandle

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Texas Democratic Nominee for Governor Gina Hinojosa was in the Texas Panhandle this weekend to discuss policies and connect with voters.

At today’s town hall, Hinojosa discussed her policies if she were elected governor, including topics related to those here on the High Plains, such as data centers and school vouchers.

Hinojosa said this regarding data centers, “There is no regulation on the electricity or the water they consume, and it is all to create a product, an AI, that takes all our jobs. That is the Wild West we are operating under, Greg Abbott, and it stops when I’m governor, and I will be rolling out that specific policy in the coming days.”

Her stance on school vouchers: “We need to prioritize Texas public schools. I will do everything in my power to make sure we take money that is going to all these private vendor contracts, including the biggest of them all, and put that money back into our neighborhood public schools.”…
