JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Scammers are using the addresses of real businesses in Jackson, Ridgeland and multiple states to advertise fake 24-hour spas online, and at least one local spa owner says people have been showing up to her location expecting appointments.
A Google search for spas in the area returns multiple listings advertising 24-hour availability. Those listings use the addresses of legitimate businesses but are not affiliated with them. When customers call the attached phone numbers, they do not receive an answer. Instead, they receive a text message asking what type of massage they want.
