ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his roommate at a sober living program in 2024, the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office said.
The 27-year-old Triston James Sexton stabbed 55-year-old David Courtney Phelps to death on Sept. 19, 2024. The pair were enrolled in a sober living program and lived in a Woodstock apartment with three other men.
