BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The final defendant accused of being part of a Romanian crime ring that swindled millions of dollars through EBT fraud failed to show for court last week.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Robert Mararas, who is alleged to have stolen more than $100,000 between March 1 and June 30, 2025, by using access cards in the names of at least four people, according to court records.
All other defendants who have been granted bail in Kern County in connection to the crime ring have also failed to appear in court…
