A MAN was arrested Sunday afternoon after he attempted to steal a parked vehicle near the Gold Beach Hotel in Garapan, only to reverse it off Beach Road and onto the beach, where it became stuck in the sand, police and witnesses said.
According to the vehicle’s owner, Jonathan Carrido, the suspect noticed the keys left inside the parked vehicle along Beach Road. The man entered the vehicle and attempted to drive away, but instead reversed over the road gutter and into the sand, leaving the vehicle immobilized.
