POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a retail theft and battery that occurred Sunday afternoon at a Davenport convenience store.
According to deputies, a man walked into the 7-Eleven at 49599 U.S. 27 around 2:00 p.m. on July 19, 2026, to buy tobacco products. When the clerk asked for identification, the man was unable to provide it, and the employee refused the sale.
