Toledo removes controversial street sign honoring Msgr. Jerome Schmit

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A street sign in downtown Toledo dedicated to Monsignor Jerome Schmit has been removed after city council approved the recommendation from the Toledo Board of Honor.

The request to remove the sign stems from a decades-old murder. In 2006, Father Gerald Robinson was convicted of killing Sister Margaret Ann Pahl 26 years earlier.
