This week, Dallas-Fort Worth residents should prepare for extreme heat, with high temperatures forecast to reach the low- to mid-100s and heat indices climbing as high as 112°F.
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Heat Advisory for much of North and Central Texas, in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday. The advisory will likely continue through the end of the week, with NWS stating the following:
“Strong high pressure and clear skies will set the stage for very hot weather across North and Central Texas the rest of this week. Highs will range from the upper-90s to the mid-100s. Accounting for humidity, heat indices will likely range from 105° to 112° each day during the afternoon and evening hours.”…
