Rockford man charged with DUI after moped crash leaves him injured

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man has been charged with drunk driving after reportedly crashing his moped on Thursday night.

Rockford Police said officers were called to the intersection of 18th Street and 6th Avenue around 9:06 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, and found Michael Pedersen, 45, suffering serious injuries at the scene.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said, and then charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence, revoked driver’s license, and various traffic offenses…
