ST. PAUL, Minn. — A St. Paul man will spend more than two years in federal prison for running a tax fraud scheme that targeted COVID-19 relief programs.
Henry Remington Herod, 43, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to pay $1.18 million in restitution for preparing and filing false federal income tax returns claiming refunds, according to U.S. Attorney Daniel N. Rosen. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Eric C. Tostrud handed down the sentence.
