SEATTLE — Few corporate names are as closely associated with downtown Seattle as Nordstrom, and perhaps few executives pace the floors like the fourth-generation family now running the company.
“I don’t know if this could have happened in another city,” co-CEO Erik Nordstrom said with a smile during a recent stroll through the flagship store. His brother Pete, the other co-CEO, was on another floor examining the layout of a new display and talking about the energy in the store.
It was an example of how hands-on the family is in the day-to-day operations and how the company has stood the test of time to become a cornerstone of downtown Seattle for 125 years…
