BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) — Drivers in Bullitt County should expect road work and a lane closure on Brooks Hill Road starting Monday as construction begins in the area.
Neighbors say the traffic pattern has already been a concern, especially with heavy trucks using the roadway. “But you’ve got 90,000-pound dump trucks running up and down here 100 times a day… it’s not a road made for that,” said Eric Shircliff. “We have 3 inches of blacktop. It just don’t last.”
Residents told WAVE they plan to keep urging county leaders to restrict commercial semi-trucks from traveling on Brooks Hill Road while the work continues…
