The teenager accused of fatally stabbing a 14-year-old boy last summer has filed an Alford plea to a lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

John Jackson, 17, faces up to 11 years in prison, five years of mandatory post-release control and a fine of $20,000 at his sentencing Aug. 10, according to a court document.
