For Oregon police Chief Brandon Begin, the annual Heroes & Hot Rods event is a great way for the city to show its appreciation to its first responders.
“It was created to bring our community together while recognizing and celebrating the dedicated first responders who serve Oregon every day,” Chief Begin said.
“This year marks our fifth annual event, and we expect it to be our biggest yet. It started out very small, and now it’s grown to be a huge event,” Chief Begin said of the Aug. 2 event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oregon Recreation Center’s soccer fields at 5401 Starr Ave. Ext…
